As this week has gone by nothing of great note has happened-which is WONDERFUL! We are, as a class, getting used to having our fish here and learning how to take care of them. We have lost a few but overall things seem to be doing very well (keeping fingers crossed).
The thought also occurred to us that those of you reading this at home might not know what eyed trout eggs look like! Well..let us show you!

This picture shows us at two stages in one. First if you look under our little emerging trout you will see our eggs which are just slightly see through. This allows you to see two "eyes". This is the stage that they are at now.
The emerging trout is called an alevin and if you look close enough he (or she) is coming out of its egg. The next week or so should be a pretty exciting time for our classroom. We will keep you updated on tank happenings.
